Allow managing dynamic plugins in Cluster Settings

Users are now able to interact with dynamic plugins that can be contributed by operators or that are included with the console. They should have a way to manage any dynamic plugins on the cluster from within Cluster Settings. They can also use this location to check on the statuses of any plugins to confirm they are operating as intended.

When enabling or disabling a dynamic plugin, the user will need to be prompted to refresh their console to see the updated UI settings.

Enabling/disabling dynamic plugins from cluster settings

cluster settings configuration

  • Because the enablement of dynamic plugins happens on the Console operator configuration resource Console [operator.openshift.io/v1], there will now be a way to access this resource in Cluster Settings (previously only global configuration resources Console [config.openshift.io/v1] were shown).
  • All operator config resources will now also be shown in the Configuration tab (renamed from Global Configuration.)
  • Any resources that have both a operator and global configuration version will have the API displayed beneath the resource.
